Fast Weight Lost Implications
when someone looks like their losing weight fast it is just them taking on so much water so it gets ride of the glycogen stores. so when they eat normal again the weight will just come straight back

normal small intestine villi have a large SA to absorb all the large macro nutrients
when one how coeliac disease their is a mucus that cover the villi causing the macronutrients can’t be absorbed and gluten effects the villi more and can go on to create nurtient deficiences and weight loss
Gluten Free Controversy
those that chose to take the diet often don’t even know what gluten is
Gluten Free and Vegan
is good in a way as it has spread awareness and lots of food places have options to work for these people

Sugar Free
some cut out all added sugar some just cut out fruit
is claimed to boost energy, lose weight and improved mental clarity
Negative of sugar
- contribute to dental decay and weight gain
- removing sugar sugared soda is very good
- whole food sugar isn’t bad
- whilst sugar has a bad rap it can be useful for athletes eg. gels
Intermittent Fasting/Time Restricted Eating
either eating normally for 5 days and less on 2 or time restricted eating eg. only eat over a certain time
can be easier to stick to and results in weight loss but doesn’t work with some medications and can result in low energy, fizziness etc
Vegan Diets
avoid all animal products
- high fruit and vege intake
- lower BMI
- lower rates of heart disease
- lower environmental impact
- good evidence

- no Natural B12 intake
- low iron
- low calcium
Keto Diet
very low carb and high fat which induces ketosis, which aims to change the type of fuel your body uses
only sustainable over the short term
- risk of nutrient deficiency
- high sat fat
