what is digestion?
It is the process in which food is broken down to be absorbed into the blood stream and distributed around the body.

why do we digest food?
digestion breaks down food into nutrients which the body uses for energy, growth and cell repair

how does bacteria help our digestive system?
It makes sure that harmful bacteria dosen’t grow well there

what is the purpose of the mouth in the digestive system?
food enetersw here and the teeth cut,mash and grind the ingested food.
The enzye amylase found in saliva starts to break down the bond in starch.
