What does ontological mean?
relating to what kinds of thing exist and their nature (what it is like)
What is Realism?
the view that at least some mind-independent objects exist

the view that no mind-independent objects exist
What does Mind-independent mean?
an object or property is mind-independent if it exists independently of all minds and independently of any experience of it
What does Mind dependent mean?
an object or property is mind-dependent if it only exists within a mind
What does the external world mean?
the reality that consists of all mind-independent objects and their mind-independent properties
What is the argument of Direct realism?
The immediate objects of perception are mind-independent objects and their properties. This means that the world as we see it is exactly as we see it.
