A
MC inherited bleeding disorder (AD)
CLINICAL FEATURES
GENERAL MANAGEMENT
D/C antiplatelets; especially ASA
Avoid IM injections
BLEEDING MANAGEMENT
Type I +/- Type II
Desmopressin:
0.3 mg / kg IV over 30 min q 12 to 24 hrs
Ineffective in Type III
Monitor:
Water rentetnion, hyponatremia, seizures
Tranexamic Acid:
Mucosal bleeding
10-15 mg / kg IV / PO q 8 hrs
