  • posture
  • repetitive movments
  • compressive forces
  • trauma
  • restriction of biomechanics of joint

Contraindications

A
  • inadequate knowledge
  • pregnancy
  • bleeding disorder
  • high dose anti-coagulants
  • immunosuppressed
  • local infection
  • umbilicus, external genetalia
  • area over joint replacement, breast implant, pacemaker, spinal stimulator
  • over ribs
  • none for 1st 6 weeks post op
