What is the EYFS ?
The framework in England that sets standards for learning, development and care for children birth to 5

What is the progress check at 2 ?
Checks how children are doing in prime areas
Identifies wether children may need additional support

Done within 6 weeks of starting reception
Provides information about child’s communication and language, maths and literacy
Information is used to see how well schools are supporting children to make progress
