Electrics Flashcards
(22 cards)
Q.The EBHA Flight Control Battery amber ON legend is illuminated. What does that indicate?
A.The EBHA Battery is selected ON while the Main Batteries are switched Off and providing power
Q.When will the Electrical backup of an EBHA become active?
A. When all actuators on the same flight control surface loose normal hydraulic pressure.
Q.What does the cabin window heat system use to provide heat to the cabin windows?
A.Electrical power
Q.What will selecting the L Bus Tie switch to the ISLN position do?
A.Isolate the L Main AC bus from all power except the L IDG
Q.How are the Main Battery Chargers powered?
.From the respective Main AC bus
Q.What will occur if the L Main TRU switch is selected to the R AC position?
A.The L Main TRU receives power from the R AC Main bus.
Q.The AUX TRU is capable of providing power to which busses?
A.Left or Right Main DC busses, Left or Right Essential DC Busses and the Left and Right Auxiliary DC Busses
.What is the Power Supply for the Cabin Pressurization Control System (CPCS) channels 1 & 2?
A.Channel 1: LESS DC via an Inverter. Channel 2: R MAIN AC
Q.What are the possible power sources for the Ground Service bus?
A.RH Main Battery, External DC cart or Right Main DC bus
Q.What is the power supply for the BFCU?
A.The FCC UPS bus
Q.What powers the Emergency Vision Assurance System (EVAS)?
A.Each EVAS has its own battery.
Q.When does the ARM position of the Emergency Power System switches allow the emergency power system to activate?
A.If the Essential DC bus voltage becomes too low.
QWhat happens if all four FCC channels are unpowered or failed?
A.The BFCU becomes active. FCS is in Backup mode.
Q.From which bus does the Inverter receive its power?
A.Left Essential DC
Q.How is the EBHA Battery charged?
By (a) dedicated EBHA Battery Chargers).
Q.What items are capable of being powered from a Battery bus?
A.The auxiliary hydraulic pump, the APU starter, and the Essential DC buses.
Q.During normal operations (IDGs powering the aircraft), the ground service bus receives power from which bus?
A.Right main DC bus.
Q.What can power the Emergency AC bus?
A.Left Main AC Bus or RAT generator
Q.If the R Gen switch indicates an amber off light, what is indicated?
.The IDG has been isolated from its respective Main AC bus automatically or has been selected off manually
Q.How is the horizontal stabilizer powered?
A. Aircraft electric system
Q.If the RAT is deployed due to inoperative engine and APU generators, what buses will it power (direct & indirect)?
A.Emergency AC Bus, EBHA and FCC UPS Busses, Left and Right Essential DC Busses
Q.What powers the inverter?
A.Left Essential DC.
