Pour 50cm^3 of copper(II) chloride solution into a beaker
Place a petri dish with 2 holes over the beaker
Insert 2 carbon graphite electrodes
Attach crocodile leads to electrodes and 4V power supply
Cathode will be coated with copper
Chlorine gas is produced at the anode
