Method

A

Place fixed amount of dilute sulfuric acid in beaker (limiting reactant)
Gently heat until almost boiling (DO NOT BOIL)
Use spatula to add small amount of copper oxide. Stir using glass rod - solution will turn blue
Continue adding copper oxide until some remains after stirring
Filter solution
Place solution in evaporate basin. Heat until half remains.
Leave for 24hrs to let copper sulfate crystals form.
