A

When they have a full outer shells - like the noble gases in group 0

How do you work out how to draw the electronic structures?

A

You look at the number of protons (as protons equals electrons) and you work out how many electrons can go on each shell. For Sulfur…..protons = 16 so because of the 2,8,8 rule it can have 2 in its 1st shell, 8 in the 2nd shell and 6 in the 3rd shell
