Monitoring, SE and patient counselling for amiodarone

A

M- Baseline CXR, baseline TFTs and LFTs and rechecked every 6 months
SE- bradycardia, thyroid dysfunction, pulmonary fibrosis, photosensitivity, peripheral neuropathy, jaundice, hepatotoxicity, vomiting, tremor, taste disturbances
Counselling- photosensitivity (need to protect skin), s/s of optic neuritis
