automatic affect
liking/disliking or good/bad feelings towards something they can occur outside of consciousness
james-lange theory of emotion
the bodily processes of emotion come first, then the mind’s perception of those reactions creates the feeling of emotion

people react to risky situations based on how bad the worst outcome is and how likely it is to occur

the ability to predict your emotional reactions to future events

some arousal is better then none, but too much can hurt performance
