Q

Describe the problems with encoding data

A
  1. Coarsening data may lead to loss of precision if dark brown, soused brown and light brown are all classed as brown
  2. Limited choice leading to less accurate data so may not be enough r categories when representing eye colour or age groups
  3. Valued judgements can lead to inconsistency for example if asked was the meal excellent very good or good one persons good may be very good for another.
