What is the Treaty of versialles?
Treaty of versailles- Ended WWI and imposed harsh penalties on Germany, including territorial losses, military restrictions, and massive reparations. Created deep resentment in Germany and economic hardship, paving the way for extremist ideologies.
Who are the Fascist leaders
- Germany- Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party came to power in 1933, promoting nationalism, militarism, and anti-Semitism.
- Italy-Benito Mussolini established a fascist regime in the 1920s.
- Japan- Military leaders gained increasing control, promoting expansionism in Asia.
What is the League of Nations?
established after World War I to promote peace and prevent future conflicts, but had several significant weaknesses that ultimately led to its failure.
What events led to the league of natoions faliure?
- The United States never joined,Other major powers like Germany (initially) and the Soviet Union (until later) were not members at the outset, weakening its authority and reach.
- The League had no military force of its own and relied on member nations to enforce its resolutions

What is nazism
Nazism was the ideology and practices associated with the Nazi Party.
Led by Adolf Hitler
It was a totalitarian, fascist ideology rooted in racism, nationalism, and authoritarianism.
They believed in white supremacy where all other races were inferior.
Glorified the German nation and sought to restore its perceived former greatness, especially after the humiliation of the Treaty of Versailles.
Promoted the idea of Lebensraum - the belief that Germany needed to expand eastward for its survival and growth.
Viewed Jews, Slavs, Roma, and other groups as inferior and dangerous
Led to the holocaust
What is Social Darwinism
is a 19th and early 20th-century ideology of Charles Darwin’s theory of natural selection to human societies
It was used to justify inequality, imperialism, racism, and laissez-faire capitalism
“Survival of the Fittest”- his phrase was used to argue that some people or races were naturally superior to others. It claimed that success and wealth were signs of superiority, while poverty or failure were signs of inferiority.
What is Fascism
authoritarian political ideology that emerged in the early 20th century, most notably in Mussolini’s Italy and Hitler’s Nazi Germany
Believed in strong dictator and centralized government
Extreme nationalism- Glorifies the nation above all else, Promotes national unity, loyalty, and identity, often linked to racial or cultural superiority
Emphasises military strength
Seeks to expand the nation’s territory and influence, often through war or conquest.
