What does WADA stand for?
World Anti Doping Agency
What do Anabolic Steroids do?
Increases growth in Muscle Size/Mass, Increases Testosterone Levels, Speeds up Recovery Time
What do Stimulants do?
Increases arousal and alertness, reduces reaction time, speeds up reflexes
What do Beta Blockers do?
Lowers the Heart Rate to reduce stress and prevents the hands from shaking, allowing for finer movements.
What do Diuretics do?
Increases urine production and results in greater amount of weight loss in water. Can be used to mask other PED’s.
What do Peptide Hormones do?
Causes the body to produce more red blood cells, significantly boosts cardiovascular fitness.
What are the stages of a WADA Drug Test
Random selection of athletes inside and outside of competition, Constant Surveillance of Athletes, Urine/Blood Sample Collection, Sample Analysis, Results Management

Any unacceptable behaviour that differs from the perceived social and legal norms
