We live in diverse society, believe should celebrate other cultures b’cos each individual is unique, valuable and created by God

What are denominations?
A subgroup within a religion which has different interpretations about certain aspects of the faith. Christian faith has many denominations eg Catholics acknowledge the pope whereas other Christians groups don’t
What is ecumenism?
Christians believe that dialogue between the various Christian denominations is important to provide that Christians are all called to one church.
What is inter-faith dialogue?
Another dimension to ecumenism. It’s a discussion between faiths to appreciate others perspective, recognising diversity. Most C’s believe that the faith requires them to accept all people. Church of England and Catholic Church employ people whose job it is to support inter-faith dialogue.

Only men can become priests/bishops bcos: god came to eat has male, all of jesus’ disciples were male. P+b’s have to remain celibate as in a sense there married to God. Woman can become extraordinary ministers of the Holy communion-visiting the sick. Men have elevated position bcos of bible teachings about woman’s role. Woman may play diff role in church to amplify diff gender eg mothers union, Christian organisation that generally helps family’s etc

When someone pre-judges a person without knowing them
