cashmore and troyna
how immigrant groups were treated by britain and how did they respond’- they faced hostility and racism by white british people, they also experienced discrimination in the workplace ,housing and education. They responded to this by ‘turning inwards’ and created their own communities with people from the same ethnic backgrounds not learning white British values. This was done by afro-caribbean , pakistani and indian families. They argued for cultural resistance.
