Eval Student Presentation Assessments Flashcards
(50 cards)
Activity Card Sort (ACS)
Standardized Ipsative Interview
(sort cards based on if they do it or not)
- Purpose: Monitor changes in ADLs, IADLs, leisure, and social participation
- Population: 18+, stroke, TBI, cancer, MS, mvm disorders, mental health
Executive Function Performance Test (EFP)
Normative Performance based
(cooking, telephone use, med management)
- Purpose: Examines ADLS, behavior, cognition, EF, FM, and QOL
- Population: 13+, Stroke, mental health disorders, MS, brain injury
*Can only administer once!!
Independent Living Scales (ILS)
Normative, observation & performance
(Client has to perform memory/money man., transportation, health & safety, social tasks correctly)
- Purpose: evaluates performance in IADLS
- Population: Adults 65+, dementia, TBI, ID, young adults with psychiatric disorders
Motor-Free Visual Perception Test (MVPT-4)
Normative, Observation & performance
(Identifying matching image, finding the picture within the design)
- Purpose: assess visual perceptual ability through a series of visual-perceptual tasks
- Population: 4-80+ y/o, for clients with visual perceptual deficits (CP, ASD, DCD, ABI)
Sensory Processing Measure (SPM 2)
Normative
(Likert scale survey about sensory preferences)
- Purpose: Assesses vision, hearing, touch, taste & smell, balance & motion, body awareness, planning & ideas, social participation
- Population: Infant -> adult
Visual Motor Integration (VMI)
Normative Performance
(copying an image until they get 3 consecutive wrong)
- Purpose: Measures hand-eye coordination, identifies age-appropriate skill level, can be used before or after an intervention
- Settings: Schools, clinics, hospitals, research
- Population: Ages 2-100, developmental delay, LD, neurological conditions (stroke, ASD)
Student Function Assessment (SFA)
Criterion-Referenced Observation & Interview
(Participation, task support and activity performance is measured)
- Purpose: assess student needs/performance of functional tasks that support participation in academia and social aspects of elementary school
- Population: 5-12 y/o elementary school children with SPED services (LD, ASD, TBI, CP, SPD behavioral challenges)
*NOT about academic performance!
Bruininks-Oseretsky Test of Motor Proficiency, 2nd edition (BOT 2)
Normative performance
(penny tray
- Purpose: evaluates motor proficiency by assessing a wide range of fine & gross motor skills
- Population: 4-21 y/o (DCD, ASD)
Kohlman Evaluation of Living Skills (KELS)
Criterion-Referenced Observation & Performance
(Perform meds man., safety, self-care, bill paying, tasks correctly)
- Purpose: Assess ADL/IADL performance to match the individual with the best independent living setting
- Population: 13+
What is the main purpose of the KELS?
Determine a client’s ability level for independent living
What equipment is NOT required for the KELS assessment?
Electricity bill
A deck of cards

Water bottle
Water bottle
Which of these settings should the KELS NOT be used in?
Acute care

What type of assessment is KELS?
Criterion-referenced
What kind of assessment is the ACS?
Ipsative
The ACS is commonly used for all of the following populations EXCEPT:
MCI
Stroke
Dementia
Children
Children
ACS: If the “% of activities retained” score is low for an individual, this indicates that..
OT intervention is needed
This test has high validity in all validity types except:
Criterion
Construct
Predictive
