one feature of the Spanish Armada was its purpose to invade England and dethrone Queen Elizabeth 1. the armada was a massive fleet of ships including both warships and converted merchant vessels assembled by Philip 11 of Spain. Philip wanted to restore Catholicism in England.

one key feature of the exploration in elizabethan times was the establishment of new trade routes. this was fuelled by explorers such as sir Francis drake who was the first explorer to circumnavigate the globe. Furthermore it meant that England was growing more naval power.
