Q

Definition, pros + cons of Matched Pairs Design?

A

Match ppts on key variables, then you pair them across different conditions to compare results
Pros: No demand characteristics, No order effects
Cons: Incredibly time consuming, Impossible to accurately match all ppts

Q

What’s the solution for Order Effects?

A

Counter-balancing, half ppts complete condition 1 then 2, the other half do 2 then 1 (this spreads the order effects evenly across two groups)
