Septicemia
presence and persistance of bacteria or their toxins in the blood.
Sepsis
systemic inflammatory response syndrome (SIRS). The release of mediators of inflammation into the blood stream, but site of infection is not always the blood.
Lymphnagitis
seen along with sepsis and septicemia. Inflammed lymph vessels that show up as red streaks.
