Describe the fire test

A

Press and hold the fire test button on the overhead panel for a minimum of 3 seconds (no more that 10 seconds if the APU is running or it will shutdown)

AURAL WARNING:

  • Fire bell and triple chime

VISUAL INDICATIONS (Overhead Panel):

  • Fire handle 1 & 2
  • Cargo smoke fwd and aft
  • APU fire extinguisher button and APU emergency stop top half of button

GLARE SHIELD:

  • Master warning light left and right

EICAS:

  • ENG FIRE 1 & 2
  • CARGO SMOKE FWD/AFT
  • APU FIRE
  • ITT GUAGES FIRE
