Formalin pigment

Answer 1

1. Immerse in alcoholic picric acid - 10mins; rinse with water
2. 70% alcohol (3ml ammonium hydroxide) for 30 mind
3. Wash with 1% acetic acid

Question 2

Mercury pigments

Answer 2

1. Immersion in gram or lugol’s iodine for 10mins
2. Place in 5% sodium thiosulfate (3mins)
3. Wash in running water (10mins)

Question 3

Chromate pigment

Answer 3

1. Wash well in running water to remove yellow pigments
