Describe a normal approach

300ft gate = 70kts

300ft gate = 70kts

100ft gate = 30kts + RoD <500ft/min

Steeper approach than nml

Stuck pedal - nose left considerations

Excessive thrust - ball right

Beep down - Nr 97%

Accept up to 45deg nose left

Wind from right

Control hdg with throttles (extended index finger points in direction)

Control during touch down can be assisted by winding off throttle and simultaneously raising collective

Stuck pedal - nose right considerations

Insufficient thrust - ball left

SARL

Max nose right = 20 deg

Greater than 20deg = auto

Safe run on speed = 60kts

Wind from left

Fly level at 5ft, then wind back throttles (only a little) and land

Describe a constant attitude (ie velocity) auto

If in cloud on a dark night and no likelihood of being able to ID a landing area

Set 40kts, rotors stable and AC trimmed hands off

80ft conduct a very small flare

50ft (or when the pucks valve clamps shut) pull in all the collective

Maintain with - 10% Tq / 500fpm

Anticipate TOD; establish 500fpm RoD
