Force
A force is push r pull.
Newton
The strength of a force is measured in the SI unit called the newton (N), after scientists Sir Isaac Newton.
Net force
The combination of all the forces on an object is called net force.
Friction
The force that two surfaces exert on each other when they rub against each other is called friction.
Sliding friction
Sliding friction occurs when two solid surfaces slide over each other.
Static friction
Static friction acts between objects that aren’t moving.
Fluid friction
Fluid friction occurs hen a solid object moves through a fluid.
Rolling friction
When an object rolls across a surface, rolling friction occurs.
Gravity
Gravity i a force that pulls objects toward each other.
Mass
Mass is measured of the amount of matter in an object
Weight
Weight is a measure of the force of gravity on an object.
Inertia
Resistance to change in motion is called inertia.
