Q

what are the steps to make a chemical cell

A
  • place a piece of zinc in zinc sulfate solution
  • place a piece of copper in a copper sulfate solution
  • place a piece of filter paper soaked in a potassium chloride solution between the 2 containers
  • use crocodile clips to connect the 2 pieces of metal and to create a current

Q

how does a chemical cell work

A

electrons will flow through from the zinc to the copper because zinc is more reactive. ions pass through the filter paper into the other beaker. creating a current
