  2. The sum of two represent the emperical combination

A

Selected property on which category is based must be identical within subjects of that group

Mutually exclusive’ If classified in one, cannot be classified in another.

Exhaustive’ Chosen categories must capture all kinds within that property

AKA all must fall into A and only ONE catagory
