How will pneumoperitoneum be shown on an image?
-free air under diaphragm
-lateral - air collection between liver and abdominal wall
*immediate surgery
-accumulation of fluid in the peritoneal cavity
-abdominal distension
*paracebtesis performed to drain fluid
Ascites
What is the Radiographic appearance of ascites?
-general haziness
-fluid collection with low attenuation
-autosomal recessive condition
-major organs are reversed/mirrored from normal positions
Situs inversus
Heart is swapped to right
Situs inversus with dextrocardia
Heart is still on left but other organs are swapped
Situs inversus with levocardia
-bright red birthmark that shows up at birth or in first or second week of life
-rubbery look, made up of extra blood vessels in the skin
-can occur anywhere on the body

-very rarely cause symptoms
