A
- Increase blood glucose concentration by activating hepatic glucose productio Converts Glycogen to Glucose
- Increase Cyclic AMP independent of beta-receptors or calcium flux resulting in a positive chronotropic and inotropic effect

A
- Known pacreatic tumours
- Known phaeochromocytoma (tumor of adrenal gland)

What are the precautions of Glucagon?
A
- Reduced efffect in patients with adrenal insufficiency, alcohol induced hypoglycaemia, prolonged exercise, recent administration of glucagon, Chronic liver disease, ketogenic diets, and patients with frequent episodes of hypoglycaemia
- Patients should be placed laterally post administration
