Q

When multiple variations of a qualification exist (757/767) , it will be necessary for a pilot with those same qualifications to exercise a minimum of how many segments to remain qualified ?

A

2 segments on each variation of that aircraft (ie. B757ADV/B767Classic/B767ADV/B767LDS) within the preceding 90 days in order to maintain recency on that particular variation.

Q

If the Weight and Balance paperwork reflects a Takeoff Gross Weight higher (up to 5000 pounds) than the Takeoff Gross Weight on the flight plan what must you do ?

A

1.Subtract the Planned Takeoff Gross Weight from the Actual Takeoff Gross Weight.

2.Divide the difference by 1000.

3.Multiply that number times the Incremental Fuel Burn as listed on the flight plan.

4.Add that number to the original Fuel Required.

5.Amend the Fuel Required line on the flight plan with the new value. Add the PIC’s initials and amendment.

6.Notify OCC of the amendment when practicable.

Q

If you see a NOTAM for 5G interference what instrument approach limitations do we have ?

A
  1. No Autoland Operations
  2. No Pilot shall accept or begin an approach if the reported weather is below CAT I minimums
as described on the IAP, or below 1800 RVR if the IAP is lower.
Note : a Alternate Means of Compliance (AMOC) might be available to continue normal operations found in the AMOC reference list.

Q

When checking destination landing limitations we must check we can make a full stop landing at intended destination airport within how much percent of effective runway length ?

A

within 60 percent of the effective length of each runway described below from a point 50 feet above the intersection of the obstruction clearance plane and the runway.

a. The aircraft is landed on the most favorable runway and in the most favorable direction, in still air.
b. The aircraft is landed on the most suitable runway considering the probable wind velocity and direction and the ground handling characteristics of the aircraft and considering other conditions such as landing aids and terrain.
c. An aircraft may depart if it does not meet these requirements if an alternate is specified that meets above

A

Special airports
3/4 visibility
RVR less than 4000 feet
Contaminated runway
Braking action less than good
Crosswind component 15 knots
Wind shear reported
PIC determines he should land
