(9 cards)
Build good habits ard yourself. It will drive you to success spontaneously
建立良好的習慣就能不斷自我推動
不要被生活牽着你走, 自己帶領生命
This is my life. Live my own life my way.
There is only one body and one life without repairment once its broken; so keep good physical health (exercise) and equally importantly good mental health
Daily meditation to clear thoughts, find calmness and hence brightness of mind, and remind myself with words of wisdom; twice per day the best — after wakey, before bed
Ask my heart: What I truly love myself to do? What will make me truly happy if I do?
Good habits is the framework/system, but in real life there are lots of variations and decisions to make, all answers based on asking myself this question
My life consists of multiple important components and every one of them matters — so good time management is crucial
unless with very good reasons, otherwise stick to the good habits and schedule (or else, the same excuse will be used every day afterwards) —— and do whats on priorities first (time is elastic, always ensure fixed amount of time & effort on the priorities, with the top priority one being must follow, then the rest can squeeze into the remaining time available flexibly, and very often by greater efficiency & effectiveness the rest can still be accomplished
Treat myself good doesnt mean no discipline
Procrastinating just extend and amplify the burden whereas indulging myself into a particular leisure w/o gd reasons just consume the time i can spend on other gd stuff for me, so couldnt let go the leisure is just making me feel good at that moment but doing bad to me as a whole; Even with tight discipline, i can enjoy life by allocating sufficient rest time etc, but stick to the plan!
Going through the life journey we need to be a wildhorse (emotion) and a knight (direction & plan –– good habits, life values, life goals)
Without the wildhorse, there is no meaning of a knight, thus passion to life is the fundamental ––but without the knight, a wildhorse running free will lead us to many pitfalls and obstacles; thus the right balance of having a knight to guide the way but without over-restraining the wildhorse is the key
Build a habit: Cue (reminds of the habit) —> Routine (action) —> rewards —> repeat cycle
- positive reinforcement at first, later will develop as a habit that even without reward will still carry on
- likewise can stop addiction by breaking this cycle ——develop another routine in response to the cure that also brings reward (eg Min FAP by replacing it with other activities that i desire like sleep/swim
Bad Habits
- 不拖延
- 不怕麻煩
- 勇於尋求別人意見
- 勇於放下(eg. 結束一天),勇於開始
Socrates: “If you want to change your life, focus not on fighting the old but building the new”
Focus all of your energy on building new gd habits rather than quitting the old one; and plan the day!
