HRN..DESCRIPTION?

-8 ft long aluminum pipe/68 degree 2 ft bend
-attached to a standard 2 1/2" FDNY SHUT-OFF-PERMANENTLY ATTACHED
-T shaped handle for stream control and direction

1 1/8"MST is attached to the outlet of HRN...tip is REMOVABLE and should be checked weekly during MUD and BEFORE use

HRN is supplied by?

2 1/2" hoseline
-200-225 GPM at 50 PSI nozzle pressure (not 40 PSI, like normal 2 1/2" hoseline)
-3 lengths - 70 PSI
-4 lengths- 80 PSI
pressures are with WATER FLOWING...units should use standpipe pressure gauge

HRN placed into operation as per?

If multiple rooms are involved , it will be necessary to reposition the nozzle for complete knockdown...

start with the window that WIND IS BLOWING INTO and extinguish fire in this room first....then move to other windows

A shut off is place in line ONE length back from the nozzle...

when REPOSITIONING..SHUT DOWN supply line at the shut off located ONE LENGTH and open NOZZLE TO BLEED LINE...once in position OFFICER SUPERVISING nozzle will order water started...the OFFICER will then notify IC that nozzle is positioned and ready to operate........

*Nozzle will NOT BE OPERATED UNITL IC HAS GIVEN APPROVAL*
