What is HIV/Aids?
A
It’s an infection that attacks the body’s immune system especially the CD4 cells which are the WBC
And weaken a person’s immune system

A
Pneumonia
Oral thrush
Swollen lymph nodes
Intermittent diarrhea
Swollen abdomen

His is Hiv in children diagnosed?
A
They have a positive antibody test at birth because of the passive transfer of HIv antibody across the placenta
And other virological tests

What is the PT Management?
A
Assess the developmental delays and assist to reach optimal functional outcome
Chest physio(percussion;vibes;PD and suctioning)
Muscle,balance and coordination training
Family education
