Maintain clear airways

Prevent complications,support pulmonary function and pain management

Increass upright posturing
Improve pulmonary function avoiding fatigue
Gentle stretching and active assisted and active ROM
What to do in the descending phase?
Weight bearing
High intensity rehabilitation using resistive training

What are the S&S of CMT?
Balance problems
Reduced sensation
Weakness or paralysis of the foot and lower limbs
Hammer toes
Muscle cramping
Scoliosis
What is the PT goal in CMT?
To maintain and improve function to the highest level and preventing complications
What PT management is for CMT?
Strenthening affected legs (kicking ball,do fun things with child)
Mainitain and improve ROM by passive exercises,active assisted ROM,use brace and positioning
Balance and coordination
Aerobic exercises
Parent education
