explain the negative feedback for thyroxine in the body

A
  • the levels of thyroxine is measure by the brain, when these levels drop the pituitary gland releases TSH into the blood
  • TSH then triggers the thyroid gland to produce more thyroxine
  • the increase level of thyroxine is detected by the brain and so the pituitary gland stop releasing TSH
  • as the TSH levels fall they thyroid gland releases less thyroxin
