What is the hormonal/endocrine system?
The hormonal system also known as the endocrine system is a network of glands and organs that produce and release hormones.
Define Glands.
An organ that makes one or more substances such as hormones, digestive juices, sweat, tears, or saliva
What is a pituitary gland?
a small pea-sized gland that is referred to as the “master gland” because its hormones control other parts of the endocrine system
Names of the hormones the pituitary gland controls
1)Growth Hormones
2)Thyroid hormones
3)Adrenaline
4)Water balance levels
5)Birth process
What does the thyroid gland help with?
It helps regulate metabolism and is associated with calory burning and heart rate

It prepares the body to spring into action in stressful situations
What do the hormones function?
Controls the function of entire organs, affecting such diverse process as growth and development, mood, metabolism and reproduction

What is the bloodstream?
The flow or movement of blood throughout the body
