Gross Missconduct
An employee has done something severely wrong. For example, going to work drunk, or, damaging company property. Fair Dismissal
Gross Negligence
A reckless or wilful disregard for the safety of others. For example, operating a ride despite knowing of a serious fault. Fair Dismissal
Poor conduct
Repeated lateness, or failing to comply with reasonable requests. Fair Dismissal
Incapacity
Not being able to do the work. For example, being too ill to work on a regular basis. Fair Dismissal
Capability
Being unable to complete work set out. Fair Dismissal
Whilst Blowing
If an employee has evidence, or reason to believe, that malpractice in an organisation is occurring, he/she can bring it to the attention of someone in authority without facing retribution. Unfair Dismissal
Discrimination
Racial, sexual orientation, gender, disabilities, religion etc. Unfair Dismissal

What makes a dismissal fair?
Correct process must be followed:
- First verbal warning
- First written warning
- Second written warning
- Dismissal
Or something along those lines.
Advisory, Conciliation and Arbitration Service (ACAS)
ACAS’ role can be summarised as offering impartial advice or support. Offers a mediation service and can make a final decision on disputes.
