Perspectives of labour relations
Unitarist

Radical
Societal
Unitarist
This perspective sees an org as a coherent team with a single, commonly accepted goal. Conflict is regarded as irrational and antisocial, and caused by troublemakers of the org. TU are considered as an intrusion into the org.
Pluralist
More realistic view, it is accepted that, as a result of the nature of the labor relationship, employers and employees will have different goals and that conflict will be unavoidable. TU are seen to have an important role to play
Radical
It is argued that there is no common interest between labor and management ,and that root cause of conflict is the capitalist economic system itself.
Societal corporatist
The inherent presence of conflict is acknowledged in the employment relationship, but emphasis is placed on greater cooperation and agreement among the parties
