solid balls of cells formed from cleavage of the zygote
what is a blastocyst?
a hollow balls of cells, implant in the uterus.
what is implantation and when does it happen?
when the blastocyst embeds in the endometrium, around 6-7 days after fertilization

membrane that forms the amniotic sac and cushions the embryo with fluid

Outermost membrane that helps form the placenta

Forms part of the umbilical cord and helps with wash removal

provides nutrients early on and helps form blood

nutrient, gas, and waste exchange between mom and fetus

Hcg, progesterones estrogen, relaxin
