GROSS NATIONAL INCOME PER CAPITA-

Advantages of HDI
Allows for the tracking of a country’s progress over time.
May allow for the governments of individual countries to identify areas for improvement.
Disadvantages of HDI
The HDI may be inaccurate as some low-income countries may not have reliable data for the indicators such as life expectancy at birth or mean years of schooling due to not everything being recorded by the government
The HDI, although moving beyond economic indicators, is still based on averages. Therefore it does not provide an indication of the inequalities that exist within countries.
