17
Q

In a HIV + pt how does their viral load and CD4 look like ?

A

high viral load and low CD4 count

18
Q

What is Cell Cycle Nonspecific (CCNS) treatment ?

A

not specific to mitosis and will kill cells in any phase
-Ex.) doxorubicin, cyclophosphamide

19
Q

What is Cell Cycle Specific (CCS) treatment ?

A

kills cells in a specific stage in mitosis
- Ex.) vincristine

20
Q

What is stomatitis ?

A

sores in mouth that are painful and pt may not want to eat
- happens in chemo pt’s

21
Q

What is Thrombocytopenia ?

A

decreased platelet count
- watch for bruising and bleeding

22
Q

What is Neutropenia ?

A

low WBC count

23
Q

With anaphylaxis where do you administer the Epinephrine ?

A

IM

24
Q

What is Racemic Epinephrine ?

A

inhaled Epi
- good for pt’s with stridor (works on all sites)

25
Q

What is cell cycle nonspecific (CCNS) ?

A

kills cells in any phase
- not specific to mitosis

26
Q

What is primary immunodeficiency ?

A

born with this and a genetic mutation is causing a depletion

27
Q

What is secondary immunodeficiency ?

A

intentional or from adverse effect of tx
