Slum housing
Legislation allowing local authorities to clear slums and purchase properties in poor condition. This resulted in better quality housing being constructed/refurbished

Legislation requiring all new houses to have a toilet and old houses to be connected to a drain or cesspit. This resulted in sanitation and hygiene improving therefore, reducing the spread of disease.
Window tax
Abolition of window tax allowed for more light and fresh air in homes. Reduced respiratory issues.

Clean water was supplied to houses by local authorities. Reduced the outbreaks of cholera from contaminated water.
