- Results in erosion of articular cartilage

Is an inflammatory arthritis that primarily targets the joints of the Spine and SIJ
- Back pain is common

Why is there CV risk in RA?
A
Because of chronic inflammation causing systemic autoimmune diseases that contributes to:
- Endothelial dysfunction
- Accelerated atheroscleorsis
- Plaque instability

A
- Decreases CVD
- Improves fitness and function
- Does not exacerbate joint damage, pain or inflammation
- Reverses muscle loss
- Diminishes Disability

A
NO it doesnt affect the joints
Moderate intensity exercise works best for RA (can do high intensity for PRT)
