Q

How does IoT work?

A

Physical objects are embedded with sensors, software, etc, which connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the internet, not dependent on human intervention.
Some everyday things — like fridges, cars, or even lights — can have tiny computers and sensors inside them. These help them talk to each other over the internet without needing people to do anything.

This is called the Internet of Things (IoT).

It means:

Your smartwatch can send your heart rate to your phone.

Your smart fridge can tell you when you’re low on milk.

Your smart lights can turn on when you walk into the room.

All of this happens automatically, without people having to control everything.
