Type of interview na pre-made na ang questions bago ang interview

Structured interview
No specific guidelines for the interviewer to follow
- on the spot na interview
Unstructured interview
Has readily made questions but not that strict like structured
- Can do follow up questions
- Pinak magandang type of interview
Semi-structured interview
Dialogue between psychologist and patient that is designed to help the psychologist diagnose and plan treatment for the patient
- The moment na humarap ang client dapat ina-assess na (physical, clothes, etc.)
Clinical interview
Initial interview with a client by a therapist or counselor, to obtain both information regarding the issues or problem that have brought the client into assessment, therapy or counseling
- Ginagawa the first time na ma-meet ang client
- PERSONAL INFORMATION ang tinatanong
Intake interview
One applicant and several interviewer. Often representative of different departments
Panel interview
A screening process where you interview multiple candidates at the same time
- Isa lang ang i-interview and lahat ang applicants
Group interview
Interview to one then to next person
- simultaneously
- should be done in one day
Serial interview
Interviewer general skills (3)
- Building rapport
Quieting yourself
Being self-aware
Developing positive working relationship
Fully concentrating on what is being said rather than just passively ‘hearing’ the meesage of the speaker
Active listening
It demonstrate that you respect a person and are interested in what he/she has to say

• Referring to the client by proper name (wag kalimutan ang name ng client)
Attending behavior
Positive and comfortable relationship between interviewer and client
Rapport
Get exactly the information they need by asking clients specifically for it
- Ex. Tatanong agad if my depression
Directive style
Allow the client to determine the course of the interview
- Di direct (like do you hear voices)
Non-directive style
The tendency for people to behave like models around them
- Dapat kayo lang dalawa, make the client comfortable
Social facilitation
Warmth, genuineness, acceptance, understanding, openness, honesty and fairness
Proper attitudes
Judgemental or evaluative statements (good, bad, excellent, terrible, disgusting, disgraceful, stupid)
- Questions that starts with why (bakit?)
- Avoid closed ended questions answerable by yes or no
Responses to avoid
Example effective statement
1. Why can’t you sleep?
- Tell me more about your sleeping problem?
- Can you identify what prevents you from sleeping?
- How is it that you are unable to sleep
RESPONSES TO AVOID
• ____ directs anger toward the interviewee
• ____ “Don’t worry, everything will be alright”
