A

These are inside the act which are usually used by formal style judge

What are preambles

A

Older statutes which usually have a preamble that sets out parliaments purpose in enacting the statute.
Modern statutes either do not have a preamble or contain a very brief omen

What are meant by long titles

A

Long titles come at the start of each act and gives more detail and the intention of parliament

What are meant by schedules

A

These are supplemstry to the act and include additional details which may provide some use to judges

What are marginal notes

A

These explain different sections but these are generally regarded as giving parliaments intention as they will have been inserted after the parliamentary debate and only helpful comments are added
