Growing up, I was always the go-to person in my family for fixing things—whether it was a broken gadget or a malfunctioning piece of equipment. This hands-on problem-solving sparked my interest in engineering in general and applying technical knowledge to real world situations.

I’ve built a strong foundation in computer science and math, which really helped me develop good problem-solving and technical skills. Working through complex challenges—both academically and in hands-on settings—has helped me build a clear, logical approach to troubleshooting and fault finding. I did work experience at Acoustic Data where I got really good at spotting and fixing issues with their wireless monitoring systems. I also soldered for them and it taught me a lot about precision and attention to detail as i had to make sure my work met high quality standards. I had a succesful 3 year stint as an online tutor where I helped several students gain higher grades than were projected. The main thing I brought out of that experience was the ability to connect and get on with different types of people and make an effort to undestand their specific needs as differernt students learnt in different ways. I got good at picking up on key information wether through verbal or written communication and keeping that in mind to meet expectations.
