POINTS Flashcards
(48 cards)
How would you handle a disagreement with a colleague regarding a safety concern during an offshore inspection?
I would follow procedure and listen to their reasoning to fully understand their point of view. I would then explain my reasoning and if we still did not agree I would seek the help of a supervisor or refer to official guidelines. I would make sure to communicate clearly and work together to safely deal with the situation.
What do you see yourself doing in 5 years time?

Why do you want to be a trainee inspection engineer
What draws me to inspection engineering is the mix of responsibility, technical knowledge, and real-world impact. I’ve always enjoyed applying technical knowledge to solve problems and catch small issues before they become big ones and find I get a lot of satisfaction from that.
My brother actually works in the field, and after hearing what he does, I started looking into it more seriously. The more I learned, the more I felt it was a great fit — especially with how fast-paced and detail-driven the work is. Coordination shit
I’m motivated by the responsibility of ensuring safety and compliance, and I think my calm approach, attention to detail, and communication skills would make me a good fit in that kind of environment. I know its not an easy job but thats what makes it more exiting for me and im really confident in my ability to adapt to any challenge and succeed in the industry workikng with reach
Strengths attention to detail
thorough in my work and good at spotting small issues
