What should you include in field notes?
A
Date, location, type of habitat, weather conditions, the organisms you collected and observed, and what type of subhabitat they were in. A map of sampling site, description of collection techniques.

How do you write out the identified species?
A
Genus and species, make sure you underline the genus and species name and capitalize the genus.

What should you include in your drawing?
A
Major anatomical features labelled, important characteristics used to make identifications, a drawing of a structure that could be important in explaining why/how they exist in that environment .

Other possible observations
A
Anything unusual, description of unidentified organisms, behaviours of live specimens.
