Q

What does the Kinetic theory of matter explain?

A

Kinetic theory of matter explains…
How matter is arranged in different substances
How matter moves
How matter behaves
…all in terms of the particles and forces (bonds) between them

Q

What is density?

A

Mass per unit volume. It is a measure of how tightly packed and therefore how heavy the molecules are in an object. Density is the amount of matter within a certain volume.

Q

How to find the density of a liquid?

A

The volume can be measured using a measuring cylinder and the mass can be measured using a balance

Q

How do you find the density of an irregular shape?

A

First you weigh the object on a balance and then put the object in a displacement can and find the volume of the displaced water
